A Special Welcome to the Massey Leadership Center From President John Fozard

There are many ways that a university fulfills its mission. The most obvious way, of course, is by educating students and commissioning graduates to go into the world to practice the knowledge of their disciplines, their skills, and — in the case of our graduates — their faith.

At MACU, another way we fulfill our mission is through a network of strategic centers that extend our reach beyond our walls and into places of influence across the nation and around the world. The J.E. Massey Center for Ministry and Leadership reflects our commitment to not only train and educate pastors here on our campus, but also to be a worldwide resource to the church-at-large and especially to Church of God pastors and leaders.

It’s impossible to estimate the number of lives that Dr. James E. Massey touched and influenced in his lifetime of more than 60 years of ministry. I’m proud to say I am one of them. In seminary, Dr. Massey birthed and cultivated in each of his students a love for God’s Word and a careful attention to the accuracy of its presentation.
