Building a Greater
Campus Experience
Phase 1 included Kennedy Hall (dedicated January 10, 2014), a New 11,000 sq. ft. Student Center (opened Spring 2014), and a new relocated College Bookstore (opened Spring 2014) centrally located in the main building.
Constructed debt free, the 32,000 sq. ft. Kennedy Hall is home to the University Library, multiple classrooms, an Apple computer lab, a physics lab, and faculty and staff offices.
The new 11,000-sq.ft. Student Center is 9,000-sq.ft. larger than the previous Student Center.
The center includes computer kiosks, lounge seating with three cable ready TVs, a pool table, a ping pong table, a stage to hold events, a new mail room, and direct access to the Student Success Center.
The modernized College Store is centrally located in the main building inside the West entrance near the MACU Chapel venue.
This $10 million plan includes:
New Student Housing (50% complete)
Renovations and updating of class rooms and faculty and administrative offices.
The New Residence Hall situated on the Southwest of the campus adjacent to the softball and baseball fields is three-stories tall and 30,000-sq.ft.
The facility includes 102 residential beds, three common lounges, laundry facilities on each floor, and card-access security.
Families, churches, Sunday school classes, and other groups — this is your opportunity to pay tribute to someone who has touched your life, by naming a room or feature in the new Residence Hall in their honor or memory.
The final phase of the Building a Greater Campus Experience campaign includes the following possible improvements:
• Expansion of the Gymnasium
• Creation of a new Leadership Center Building
• A New Auditorium
