Lt. Governor Todd Lamb to Speak at MACU's Second Annual Dream Scholarship Gala
March 23rd, 2017
OKLAHOMA CITY – Mid-America Christian University is proud to announce Lt. Governor Todd Lamb as the keynote speaker for its second annual Dream Scholarship Gala to be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 6, at the Oklahoma City Civic Center Music Hall. The event benefits MACU’s Evangel Fund, providing money for student scholarships.
As the featured speaker, Lamb will bring an inspirational message on the importance of higher education and the role it plays in nurturing the next generation of Oklahoma leaders.
Lamb will be joined by Discover Oklahoma co-host and former Miss America and Miss Oklahoma Lauren Nelson, who will serve as the master of ceremonies for the evening. Many of the university’s students, alumni and friends will be in attendance as well.
More than 90 percent of MACU students receive some sort of financial assistance. Because of the support of donors at the Dream Scholarship Gala and throughout the year, the university is able to help many of those students achieve their educational dreams through financial scholarships.
“Thanks to the generosity of our donors, alumni and friends, MACU is able to ensure that our students are not held back by financial constraints, and that our students remain inspired not only to follow their dreams, but God’s vision for their lives,” said Rev. Steve Seaton, Vice President for University Advancement.
Tickets for the gala are available for purchase online at dreamgala.macu.edu at the cost of $150 per ticket. One hundred percent of funds raised will go toward MACU’s annual fund for student scholarships. All gifts are tax deductible.
In addition to individual tickets for sale, a limited number of sponsorships and corporate tables are available.
