OKLAHOMA CITY– MACU volleyball head coach Mike Freeman and University of Oklahoma volleyball head coach Santiago Restrepo are teaming up to host their second annual two-day volleyball camp on June 13 and 14. The camps will be held inside the Gaulke Activity Center on the MACU campus in Oklahoma City.
“We look forward to a fun camp again this year,” Freeman said. “We had a successful camp last year combining our efforts with Coach Restrepo.”
Players will learn the basics of passing, setting, serving and hitting as a part of the fundamentals-based camp. The camp is divided into age groups for 11-12, 13-14, 15-16 and 17-18 year-olds.
Space is limited to 20 players per age group with a camp cost of $125. For parents wishing to drop their campers off for the day, lunch will be provided for an extra $30.
Current and former college coaches will assist with each camp.
"We have set up times for players to learn with their own age group so no one is left out because age or skill level,” Freeman said. “We can't wait to have some fun as we teach the ever-growing game of volleyball.”
